I have been treated twice now by Dr Hu and I totally trust him and would recommend him to others for treatment. He is approachable and friendly whilst also being totally professional in his dealings with patients. He listens and takes care in explaining what (a) the problem is (b) what treatment he is recommending and (c) what you (the patient) can do to help ease the problem. He is honest in his interaction with you which puts you at ease during the examination and treatment. I have no hesitation in recommending him to other patients for treatments

Even though he has the most awesome name, he's an even better Doctor. But seriously, Dr Hu has been treating me on and off for the last 6 months for a serious eye condition and he is a fantastic doctor. From initial consultation, to hospital admission, right through to current ongoing treatment Dr Hu is always professional, friendly, knowledgeable and honest. He always make me feel at ease and comfortable and answers all my questions without hesitation. I cannot thank his enough for the time he has given to help make my sight better and if you ever need an eye scrape (hopefully you won't!) then he's definitely your man!

Mr Hu was fully involved in the operation of my right eyelid which two weeks later appears to be a great success.

Mr Hu took the time to listen to me and throughly examined my eyes. I was discharged from the clinic and was given advice on what to do in the future.

Asked relevant questions, my case notes could not be found I had temporary notes, Mr Hu very clear explained everything he was doing, checked my pressure I have glaucoma hoping I might be able to stop using drops. My pressure higher than he would have wanted said to continue with drops. Very thorough, clear and precise.
Would be very happy to see Mr Hu again but unfortunately not always seen by same member staff.

Consultant ophthalmologist at Mid Cheshire NHS Hospitals with a specialist interest in Cornea, including corneal transplant surgery, and also Glaucoma. He is passionate about providing excellent patient care and experience. He previously completed a PhD on trachoma with the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and currently works with the LSHTM leading research in low-income countries.
